A young, growing family wanted to make the outdoor spaces of their historic Midtown Tulsa home more livable year-round. In Oklahoma, that meant planning for all four seasons—shelter, shade, water, heat, and places to gather.

On a tight residential lot, the challenge was fitting several outdoor living functions into limited space while preserving everyday access to the driveway and garage.

The site constraints became an organizing tool, shaping a series of distinct outdoor zones that can work independently or together. A pool cabana, covered patio, and fireside lounge each respond to different seasons and uses, with sun, shade, and planting helping define their placement. A new pool bath and dedicated golf practice area were folded into the plan without compromising the larger layout.

The result is a flexible outdoor environment designed for year-round use. The pool anchors the warmer months, while a built-in fireplace and infrared heat extend the season well into cooler weather. Clear views between spaces keep the yard connected to the house, allowing everyday routines and outdoor living to work together naturally.
